Fab Tabs — Licence & Terms of Use
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Please read these terms carefully. By downloading, activating, or using Fab Tabs, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
In these terms, “Fab Tabs,” “the software,” or “the app” means the Fab Tabs harmonica tab creator. “We,” “us,” and “our” mean Roly Platt, operating harmonicamute.com. “You” means the person who downloaded or activated the software.
1. Licensed, not sold
Fab Tabs is licensed to you for your personal use. It is not sold. You do not own the software itself — you own a licence to use it under these terms. We keep all rights to the software that we do not specifically give you here.
2. What your licence lets you do
When you buy a Fab Tabs licence, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software for your own harmonica playing and practice.
Your licence key may be activated on up to three (3) devices. The licence is for one person — you. Please don’t share your licence key with anyone else.
3. What you may not do
You may not:
- Share, give away, sell, rent, lease, sub-licence, or otherwise pass your copy or your licence key to anyone else.
- Publish or post the software file where others can download it.
- Copy the software except for a reasonable personal backup.
- Try to reverse-engineer, decompile, or take apart the software, except where the law specifically allows it.
- Remove, hide, or change any copyright notice, licence text, or version marking in the software.
- Use the software in any way that breaks the law.
4. Free trial
We may offer a free trial version of Fab Tabs. The trial is time-limited and may have limits on how many times it can be downloaded. The trial is provided for evaluation only, and all of the restrictions in these terms apply to it as well. When the trial period ends, you need a paid licence to keep using the software.
5. Payments and refunds
Fab Tabs is a digital product that you download. Because of this, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds once the software has been made available for download. If you have a problem with the software, please contact us first — we want to help.
6. Updates
We may release updates or new versions from time to time. We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or new features, and we may change or stop offering the software at any time.
7. No warranty
Fab Tabs is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Pitch detection works best for players whose tone produces a clean note; results will vary with your instrument, microphone, and playing.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the software. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software will not be more than the amount you paid for your licence.
9. Ending the licence
This licence stays in effect until ended. It ends automatically if you break any of these terms. If it ends, you must stop using the software and delete your copies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or the software will be handled by the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
